David

In 1995 David Chappell established Carolina Benefit Specialists, Inc. located in Greenville NC. David wanted to assist both individuals and businesses in eastern NC meet their health insurance goals. Prior to 1995, David was a field brokerage manager for BCBS of NC and served with them for 5 years. During his tenure he earned his Certified Health Consultant Designation (CHC) from the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association and learned what businesses and individuals in NC needed to get the health coverage they could afford.

Since starting Carolina Benefit Specialists Inc, the company has consistently been ranked in the top tier of agencies with BCBS of NC and has been awarded membership in the Presidents Club for their outstanding work in the Group benefits market. Along with David’s daily management responsibilities; he was invited to join the initial broker Advisory Council with BCBS of NC. As an experienced broker in the health industry over the last 20 years, David is committed to helping clients meet their goals and provide the best service and support during the process.

Ben

In March of 2008, Ben Lewis joined Carolina Benefit Specialist to help spearhead CarolinaHealth.com, and assist with our individual markets. He believes in doing what is best for his clients, and strives for the ultimate customer experience. These are both qualities Ben brought over after working with SunTrust Bank, Inc for five years before joining our team.

Since arriving; Ben has developed a great understanding of the individual markets and trends, as well as Medicare products and guidelines. He deals one on one with his clients to understand their needs and to help them reach their goals. He makes the client feel comfortable with the enrollment process.

Donna

Donna Walker came to Carolina Benefit Specialists in 1998, from Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina. She has helped develop and grow the company through the years. With over 15 years experience in insurance she has a wealth of knowledge that she uses to help groups and individuals with their insurance needs.

 

Ashly

Ashly Grubb joined Carolina Benefit Specialist in March of 2004 after graduating from East Carolina University. She prides herself on servicing our clients and meeting their needs as quickly as possible. She works directly with the carriers to assist in any service, billing or claim issues. Ashly is able to take the headache and frustrations of insurance dealings away from the client.
